Dog Paddling

One hand of this movement looks as if it is doing the dog paddle, while the other sort of scoops up along your body then pushes back down. This is actually part of a series of movements in a Daoist practice — one of the schools of Qigong — that is translated roughly as “Live 100 Years Like A Turtle.” Although Dog Paddling is a flowing and rhythmical movement, you need some breakdown to understand the pieces. Don’t think too hard while you’re mastering it. Let’s do the Turtle!
